Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of services by GT Siwawa ("we", "us", or "our") to our clients ("you" or "the client"). By accepting a quotation or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Quotations

• All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.
• Quotations are based on the information and site conditions available at the time of assessment. Any changes to the scope of work may result in an amended quotation.
• A quotation is not a binding agreement until it has been accepted in writing by the client and confirmed by GT Siwawa.
• All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.

2. Acceptance and Deposits

• A deposit may be required before work commences. The deposit amount will be specified on the quotation.
• Acceptance of a quotation may be confirmed verbally, via WhatsApp, email, or in writing.
• Once a quotation has been accepted and a deposit paid, materials may be ordered. Cancellations after this point may incur costs for materials already procured.

3. Payment Terms

• Full payment is due upon completion of the work unless alternative payment terms have been agreed in writing.
• We accept EFT, cash, and card payments.
• Overdue accounts may attract interest at the prevailing legal rate.
• GT Siwawa reserves the right to withhold certificates of compliance, warranties, or handover of systems until full payment has been received.

4. Scope of Work

• The scope of work is as described in the accepted quotation. Any additional work requested during the installation will be quoted separately.
• We will carry out all work in a professional and workmanlike manner, using quality materials from reputable suppliers.
• Where existing structures, wiring, or systems are involved, we cannot be held liable for pre-existing faults or defects not identified during the initial assessment.

5. Site Access and Preparation

• The client must provide safe and reasonable access to the property for our installation team.
• The client is responsible for ensuring that the work area is clear of obstructions, vehicles, and personal property.
• If access is restricted or the site is not prepared, delays may occur and additional costs may apply.

6. Warranties and Guarantees

• All installations come with a workmanship guarantee. The period of the guarantee will be specified on your invoice or quotation.
• Product warranties are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective manufacturers.
• Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, negligence, power surges, lightning, theft, or unauthorised modifications to the installed system.
• Regular maintenance may be required to keep warranties valid. We offer maintenance plans for all installed systems.

7. Compliance and Certificates

• Where applicable, we will issue certificates of compliance in accordance with South African legislation and SANS standards.
• Certificates are issued only for work carried out by GT Siwawa and only once full payment has been received.
• The client is responsible for ensuring that any necessary municipal approvals, building plans, or body corporate permissions are obtained prior to installation.

8. Limitation of Liability

• GT Siwawa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the services provided under the relevant quotation.
• We are not responsible for losses arising from power failures, load shedding, acts of nature, or criminal activity beyond the reasonable capability of the installed security systems.

9. Cancellation

• Cancellations must be communicated in writing (email or WhatsApp).
• If materials have already been ordered or work has commenced, the client will be liable for costs incurred up to the point of cancellation.
• Deposits may be non-refundable where materials have been procured.

10. Force Majeure

GT Siwawa shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, supply shortages, load shedding, or government restrictions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Gauteng.
